Bummer. I joined iR sometime last year, and haven't received anything from them in months. Oh well, looks like full price will have to do if I go ahead and renew. Thanks for the info.
I'd already been thinking about getting back into iRacing, that might put it over the limit. I can't find anything about it on the renew page though, what am I missing?
I figure I should post this here, rather than leave anyone wondering about changes they may notice.
As of the Kyoto 400, I'm no longer a driver at Advocare Racing. Texpelt and I both discussed it and decided that it would be best for me to branch off and start a new team, with a loose alliance with Advocare. A bit like the relationship between Stewart-Haas and Hendrick in NASCAR.
I've had such a great time driving here, and I really appreciate Texpelt giving me a chance to drive for him. I'm not sure I wouldn't have stayed interested in LFS as long had he not.
I wish you guys the best of luck in the future, and I hope to see you all on track.
Best race of the year, hands down. Would have been even better if not for the last caution.. Gordon had the race in the bag. Still, glad to see Larson get a good finish.
I would think 45min-1hr would be around a good length for the race, not too long, but not too short that it leaves you wanting more. As for the tracks, I'll run anything that gets thrown at us.
Awesome race... That's one of the best races I've watched in a long time. I was really surprised about how clean they were racing for the most part. I was seeing situations that in previous years would have caused good sized wrecks.
Really happy to see Jr win as well, he deserved it big-time. Great start to the season for a few of my favorites too, mostly Gordon.
Dillon was a bit disappointing though. He caused multiple incidents, that from my perspective were really simple mistakes that could have been avoided. I was hoping for Larson to have a good speedweeks, but that went out the window.
All-in-all I enjoyed the 500. I can only hope the rest of the season will be this good.
I know it's not the best. Most likely because this is the first time I've tried this type of skinning. Credit goes to Master Skinnerz for the template.
Had to upload the PSD to Mediafire since the forum won't allow a file over 2MB.
I'm not that kind. Sure, I may hate the way they go with everything, but I've never really seen it as enough of a reason to stop watching. Life is boring without NASCAR for me.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Death of NASCAR as we know it, here we come. If they think that's what the fans want, they must be listening to the fans of another sport. :/
Not at all, they're just telling the drivers to put that effort into racing different.
I never cared for tandem drafting anyway, it took some of the excitement out of the plate races for me. I do think it will be interesting to see how their officiating of this rule goes. I mean, does this mean that you won't be able to bump draft at all without it being considered tandem racing?
Square leading edge means the splitter won't have a "knife-edge" anymore. Instead it would be squared off, which makes me think it will have to work more to cut through the air, therefore helping slow the car down plus give them the downforce they're looking for.
As far as limiting RPMs, I agree with what a lot of people were saying about 2013. They were going way too fast, NASCAR has never been known to do speeds in excess of 200 on a regular basis. Slowing the cars down will let them have more control of the car, and be able to maneuver a lot more. Hopefully resulting in more side-by-side racing and passing.
And more pileups... Seriously, the "crash factor" was non-existent for me this year. It took a lot of fun out of the plate races. Among other places where we usually see some decent wrecks.
